Here's some areas of need:
Fruit Tree Project
Fruit Tree Project visits houses all over Victoria from July to October. Volunteers will pick and sort fruit. Team leaders will help coordinate the picking schedule and picking teams. Fruit Tree Volunteers are invited to take a portion of the fruit home with them.
Growing Schools
Volunteers help to lead classroom and garden activities at primary schools throughout Victoria. Training is provided. Email growingschools@gmail.com for more information.
Springridge Commons
Springridge has a garden maintenance day every Saturday from 10am to 12pm at the Common, located at the corner of Gladstone and Chambers St in Fernwood. Email growingschools@gmail.com for more information.
Operations support
We need help with a few things round the office – email info@lifecyclesproject.ca if you are able to help with:
Building shelves in the supply room
Responding to requests for publications
Managing our membership database
Helping with web updates
LifeCycles Board
We are currently looking for one or two enthusiastic volunteers to join our Board of Directors. The board’s work plan includes fundraising, overseeing programs and finances, communicating with the public, and supporting our staff. Please send an email to info@lifecyclesproject.ca to indicate your interest.
